The Promise Home provides permanent supportive housing in the Jacobsville neighborhood of Evansville, Indiana. Opened in summer 2024, this thoughtfully designed two-story building offers 27 one-bedroom apartments dedicated to adults experiencing chronic homelessness.
Designed to support meaningful, long-term stability, Promise Home provides more than just shelter. The facility includes an on-site case manager and resident assistant, a laundry facility, a secure community space, and modern safety features like enhanced security systems—anchoring a supportive environment that prioritizes dignity and self-sufficiency.
More than just a building, Promise Home was meticulously prepared to feel like a home from day one. Apartments are fully outfitted with welcoming touches—from kitchen essentials and cozy furnishings to freshly laundered linens—all laid out with care to honor the transition into stability.
This project marks ECHO Housing’s sixth permanent supportive housing community and its eighth housing initiative in southwest Indiana. It embodies their Housing First philosophy—providing immediate, stable housing coupled with wraparound support to help individuals rebuild their lives
