This sprawling 1940's ranch underwent extensive interior renovations to allow for larger gatherings that could revolved around the most important room in the house, the kitchen.
Designed for a local restauranteur who regularly hosts friends and family, all of the home’s hallways lead to the kitchen. Generous dining and entertaining spaces are located on all sides of the food storage and preparation area which allows for great conversation, even during meal prep. State of the art appliances were specified by the owner and incorporated into the frameless European-style casework for a sleek custom look.
Along with an enlarged kitchen, the project also involved full renovation of the primary suite, bathrooms, laundry room, as well as finish and hardware updates throughout.
Imported teak wood flooring wraps up the walls and extends across the ceiling of the primary living area, creating warmth and drama without compromising simplicity. The modern lines of the rooms, windows and moldings are enhanced by the use of recessed lighting, hidden audio/visual equipment and the owners collection of antique furnishings and art.
