The process of designing Sazón y Fuego, the much-anticipated fourth culinary creation of Pangea Holdings, meant creating a space that could mirror the restaurant’s inspiration—seasoning and fire. The goal was to craft an environment that felt both modern and deeply connected to Latin American traditions.
Our team was responsible for transforming the existing building, a wine tasting bar, into a modern restaurant with updated kitchen, bar, restrooms and support spaces. The interiors were designed by California-based Katch Design Collective, using warm tones, textured materials, and ember-inspired lighting to evoke the heat and earthiness of the cuisine. Clean mid-century lines blend seamlessly with Latin-inspired patterns and colors, giving the interior a balance of sophistication and cultural richness.
Beyond the main dining room are intimate details which add unique character to the restaurant—most notably The Cave, a private room designed for small gatherings, with softer lighting and primitive-inspired art to create a secluded atmosphere. Salvaged stained glass, Italian marble, and authentic terra-cotta ensure that the restaurant's design reflects the richness of the restaurant's culinary inspiration.
